
Hi, I’m Tilly.
A woman who’s past the age of forty and still wears an itty-bitty yellow polka dot bikini, lifts weights, and enjoys a good dance party! When I’m not dancing or building Lego sets (You heard me 😉. Geeks unite!) with my husband, I love writing about my fascination with aging positively!
Now things were not always so positive… In my thirties, my lifestyle included yo-yo dieting and inconsistent workout routines that brought me to my unhealthiest self – EVER. I literally huffed and puffed walking a block away from my house. Not even fast walking…. I am pretty sure a one-legged turtle passed me one day (don’t fact check me). But as I neared my ever pending 40th year of life, on this planet, I realized something had to give. I could either continue down this path and be miserable or make some changes that would set me up to rock the next 40, 50, 60 years!
And so, health and fitness have become crucial to my lifestyle. It’s not about being a size 2 but about being strong enough to live life fully. You never know when you may need to run on opening day to make it to the new Star Wars ride at Disney (true story) or haul in ALL of your grocery bags in one trip (because God forbid you have to make two trips).
So, that is my story and why I keep pushing myself to be better. I know I have this one body and one life, and I am going to live it VIBRANTLY. I hope my experiences will encourage, inspire and instill in you a want to better yourself – physically, mentally and spiritually. Because you are worth it – and YOU GOT IT GLOWING ON!
